Retro-fantasy RPG Queen's Domain has broken even after selling 100,000 copies in just five days.

The title, developed by two-person studio Freshly Baked Games has been praised by players and critics alike.

Freshly Baked said the project has already outperformed its wildest expectations. "There’s been a lot of pinch me moments throughout this and this is definitely one of them," said the studio in a post on Steam.

Vertical Slice reached out to publisher Future Friends Games to glean whether the project has recouped its production costs already, and the compony confirmed our suspicions.

"Yes, it has very much broken even—it's a two-person dev team and we're a small, lean publisher that spends almost nothing on paid marketing," said Future Friends' co-founder, Alex Fairwood.

Queen's Domain launched onto multiple platforms including Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S, and Nintendo Switch 2 and retails for less than £20.
