The French mobile studio is best known for developing titles within the airline simulator genre.
Stellaris developer Paradox Interactive has sold mobile studio Playrion to Trophy Games for an initial €3.1 million.
The Swedish company confirmed the sale in its latest fiscal report and said the deal includes a contingent consideration that will grant it 9 percent of the revenue generated by certain games over a three-year period.
Paradox did not disclose the names of those titles.
Playrion is the Paris-based studio behind titles such as Airlines Manager and Airport Simulator: First Class.
Its new owner, Trophy Games, is based in Denmark and specialises in producing simulation titles. It has worked on Truck Manager, Shipping Manager, Farm Manager, and Airline Manager (note: 'Airline' not 'Airlines')
The studio brands itself as a "data-and-business-driven company with a no-bullshit mentality."
According to Trophy Games' annual report for 2025, the company's three most popular titles—Airline Manager, Truck Manager and Farm Manager—produced 67 percent of total revenue.
Notably, Airline Manager was the single biggest contributor and has been for the past five years.
