*Assassin's Creed* publisher Ubisoft is cutting jobs across Germany by proposing voluntary redundancies en masse.

[Game File has the scoop](https://www.gamefile.news/p/ubisoft-germany-cuts-xbox-labs-epic-ai?publication%5Fid=66124&post%5Fid=220423448&isFreemail=false&r=2ov77y&triedRedirect=true&utm%5Fsource=substack&utm%5Fmedium=email) and notes the company has tabled a "proposed voluntary departure plan across Ubisoft Dusseldorf, Ubisoft Berlin & Ubisoft Mainz."

A Ubisoft representative confirmed the news in a statement shared with Vertical Slice.

"In Germany, we initiated discussions with the Works Council last week regarding a proposed voluntary departure plan across Ubisoft Dusseldorf, Ubisoft Berlin & Ubisoft Mainz," they stated. "The voluntary plan is the primary measure being proposed to support the intended organizational changes. Discussions with the Works Council are ongoing, and we won't comment further as this time."

The company didn't state how many people it's hoping to jettison, but Game File said it expects around 100 roles to be impacted.
