*Control Resonant* has become the fastest-selling title in Remedy's history after topping 1 million sales in less than a month.

The Finnish studio shared the news in a note on its investor relations page. *Control Resonant* launched on September 24, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S, and PC. A macOS version is slated for release later this year.

Remedy CEO Jean-Charles Gaudechon said the milestone represents a "very strong start."

"*Control Resonant* is Remedy's first self-published release of this scale, launched into one of the most competitive windows in years alongside the industry's biggest names," he stated. "We have always believed Control deserved an even bigger audience, and this launch shows what's possible."

Gaudechon said Remedy now has two established franchises in Control and Alan Wake. "Our focus is to build on what makes them special, support them, and grow them even further. There is a lot more to come from these worlds," he added.

Remedy appointed Gaudechon as CEO in February 2026 following the departure of former chief exec Tero Virtala, who [stepped down](https://www.gamesindustry.biz/remedy-ceo-tero-virtala-steps-down-after-nine-years?ref=verticalslice.news) after *Control* spinoff *FBC Firebreak* failed to make headway.

The multiplayer shooter struggled to attract players, resulting in Remedy writing down most of its capitalised development costs and purchased publishing and distribution rights.

Although it was not a financial success, Remedy said the launch of its first multiplayer product was "technically successful" and allowed its publishing team to build capabilities to support the release of future self-publishing titles (like *Resonant*).
