# "Blatant union busting:" Quantic Dream accused of retaliating against STJV union representative

French labour union STJV has accused Quantic Dream of taking retaliatory action against one of its union representatives. 

The *Detroit: Become Human* studio has allegedly suspended the unnamed union representative without pay and summoned them to a disciplinary meeting. 

STJV claims the company intends to fire them for supposed gross misconduct. In response, STJV has called for a national strike on October 8, 2026—the same day the disciplinary hearing is scheduled to take place. 

"This attack on a union representative is a blow to every worker in our industry. We do not only need to defend a comrade against violent and radicalized executives, but all workers," [said the union in a statement](https://www.stjv.fr/en/2026/10/quantic-dream-reprisals-against-our-union-rep-strike-on-thursday-october-8th/?ref=verticalslice.news). 

According to STJV, Quantic Dream leaders accused the suspended union representative of publishing a "verbatim report from a negotiation meeting inside the company" and taking an "aggressive, intimidating, and anxiety-inducing" tone when communicating with employees. 

STJV said its representative has done nothing wrong and claimed that Quantic Dream is breaking the law by engaging in "blatant union busting." 

"Not only \[do\] the heads of the company refuse to listen to the legitimate concerns and anger of their workers, but they also harass and brutalize their representatives," said STJV. "Beyond the anger and sadness we feel for our comrade, we are appalled by the nonsensical and brutal nature of their actions: they think themselves all-powerful, and unable to tolerate the slightest criticism."
