Splitscreen Croatia, a new conference for video game professionals, has broken cover ahead of its inaugural event in April 2027\.

Currently scheduled to take place in Split from April 20 to April 22, Splitscreen is positioning itself as a "no-stress, high-curation games industry gathering on the Croatian Coast that celebrates the culture and craft of making video games."

It has gone public less than a year after Reboot Develop—another industry event hosted in Croatia—was issued with a bankruptcy order and subsequently vanished off the face of the earth ([thanks GI.biz](https://www.gamesindustry.biz/organiser-of-reboot-develop-issued-with-bankruptcy-order-underlining-fears-over-events-future?ref=verticalslice.news)).

[In an FAQ on the Splitscreen website](https://www.splitscreencroatia.com/?ref=verticalslice.news#frequently-asked-questions), event organisers confirmed that some of its team previously worked on Reboot, but stressed Splitscreen is a "new event."

"If you loved what Reboot felt like, you’ll likely feel at home here too—this is our way of building the next chapter," they added.
